To keep it short and relatively un-emo, 2009 was a very rough year for me. With that being said 2010 has actually been nothing more than a blessing. Hooray to new beginnings! (I hear someone say that once. It felt appropriate.)

So whats new in my life?
hmmm…….

I graduate in August….wow.  I made a conscious decision a while back NOT to go straight to grad school right after graduation. I think I was lying to myself.  I was afraid to grow up and face the real world so I was convincing myself to stay in school.
So now what will I do? Well..I plan to move back to Dallas for a while, 6 months to a year and work as much as I can and save some cash and then move out to L.A.  Work on getting some reels, audition for plays and wait tables. I hope to start out in some commercial work, maybe some walk on parts in movies. Small potato stuff (which wont be easy). Possibly be in some student films as well. Build up enough of a resume to progress a little further.

I dunno, it’s a terrifying thought to move out there and do all that but at the same time it’s really exciting.

COMMMMINNNNHHHEEEEYYYAAAA!!!!!

I threw up a little last night and it reminded me of applesauce. I think I need to see a doctor…or two.

I am very close to my goal right now. 1 boss away from the Illidan encounter. Wow. I must say it’s been a hell of a ride. I’d like to complete my 4 piece T6 as well, just as an accomplishment. I never completed tier 1 or 2 but came really close. I want to complete this almost as a way of saying, “Well my goal is reached, I can safely quit if I choose to.” I mean I could safely quit right now, but the gamer in me would still think about mt goal. I blame teachers for making us commit to something. So yes, I need to complete this set because I have never completed a set before. Although my Tier 2 set would have been super sweet had I finished it. Of course that was on my druid, the most popular and wanted class in the game. Now I play my shadow priest. I love her, she is great; but she is being phased out patch by patch. I am worried. This is another reason I may just leave these travels behind. 4 level 70′s and numerous alts above 30′s and 40′s. I can’t grind this again. To much time.

For those who snicker at World of Warcraft, I too was like you. I thought this game was a waste of time and quite nerdy, which it is. But that doesn’t excuse how much fun it is. When I say fun I mean 7 hours of game play goes by and the only reason you break free to look at the clock is because your stomach growled. Now I have had my bad moments in WoW and I have had my good streaks. I’d say I’m on a pretty good streak these last 6 months. There was a time where I just abandoned life just to play. Of course that was in the prime of my interest. But that interest is fading and I wouldn’t say slowly.

So assuming Wrath of the Lich King doesnt happen in the next 5 months, what do I do now? Well, actually, I have recently taken back to my roots of Halo. I have been playing alot of Halo 3 lately and have been loving every minute of it. It’s nice that everyone is equal in gear and it weapons, unlike wow which is a gear flaunt. However, in Halo I can up my rank the more I play. Doug, AJ & I have talked about doing a hard General grad 1 grind this summer, or at least to see how far we get. I’m pretty stoked about that.

Well aside from it’s recent bore and the amount of time it takes to please myself in WoW, it might be better off for me to depart for good. With the possibility of grad school ahead, or just my life in general, I should probably latch onto a game that doesnt require ALL my time.
